THE 360 ROUTE

The beautiful and ancient “Cami de Cavalls” (or “Horse Path)” has encircled the magnificent Balearic Island of Menorca for hundreds of years. This is the Start Point (pictured right).

It is split into 20 sections around the whole island with individual numbered posts punctuating the trail.

It was originally completed to provide a ring of protection that soldiers could reach on horseback to protect the Mediterranean shorelines. Nowadays, it stands as a perfectly crafted and signposted route for all to enjoy. ‘Yes’, it is signposted the whole way around!

At 185 Km (115 miles) long, start to finish, with a maximum elevation of 120 metres, it serves as a significant and meaningful personal challenge for anyone to complete.

Physical journey aside, it is a stunningly picturesque platform to reap so many rewards emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and habitually to pivot, or enhance, your life in a new transformative way.

This is a day of 3 parts. The first part is full of beautiful beaches and gentle hills. The second part has some very challenging ascents over and over again, beach to summit, beach to summit on repeat. The third part is through farmland with some cliff top walking to finish. Not for the faint hearted but some end up feeling a bit faint! :) On this day we offer 3 options – 1) the whole day, 2) The hilly bit only (first 14 miles) or, 3) the flatter bit (the last 8 miles). If you just want to do the last 8 miles we will take you by minibus to that point for a 1300 hrs start.

Distance: 22 miles (14) + (8 miles - drop off at 1300 hrs) (+/- 0.5 miles)

DAY 5: The ‘finally it’s flat’ beach day – Cala Blanca to Cala Galdana* (0830 hrs start)

On day 5, you get to breathe a sigh of relief as the terrain flattens right out to coastal pavements, flat off road pathway and a few more urbanisations. Looking west you will see the neighbouring Mallorca and take in the lovely Cap d’Artrutx lighthouse. Onto Cala n Bosc for lunchtime and then it’s just a day of glorious beaches with LOADS of opportunities to swim at 5 or 6 different beaches if you wanted to! Some people even do this day in flip flops or sandals.

Distance: 17 miles (+/- 0.5 miles)

Hilly or Flat: Mainly flat with a few easy hills and LOTS of amazing beaches

DAY 6: The ‘beach’ day – Cala Galdana to Cala Canutells (0830 hrs start)

There are incredible beaches all over the island but this morning just keeps giving including a very long last one in Son Bou. From there, with 10 miles to go, it’s a few hours challenging hike off road slightly inland to bring you into the picturesque little town of Canutells. Plenty of opportunities to swim in the morning but technical and tough in the afternoon - fuel up in Son Bou!

Distance: 22 miles (+/- 0.5 miles)
